Biker in Motion Sculpture
Biker in
Motion is created by mimicking the body of a motorcycle infused with the posture of a human distorted in shape and form. The process involved carving details to give
depth to the plaster’s motion when riding a bike and creating a bulky and slender form to exaggerate strength and speed. From carving out bulging oval and
circular shapes using a hammer and chisel or scraping the plaster off with a
chisel, giving a nice flow of connecting body parts to one another in fluid
motion, drilling out a hole all the way to using sand paper of rough and soft quality to smoothen the
texture of the sculpture creates the overall aesthetics of a biker set in motion.
